Discipleship House I & II

 

The Discipleship Houses provide a good quality of life, safe, secure and supervised housing in a Christian environment for men coming out of long term drug/alcohol rehabilitation facilities. Discipleship Houses disciple men further on their walk with God, development of Christian character, work habits, family responsibilities, and transition back into the community.
 

Discipleship House I is located at 500 Madison Ave, Discipleship House II is located at 511 Madison Ave.

English as a 2nd Language

 

In the ESL Program students learn how to listen, speak, write and read in the English language. We will describe American cultural practices, and we will present relevant aspects of USA History, Geography and Government; this includes preparation to become citizens. Classes held at 498 Madison Avenue on Fridays at 5pm, Saturdays at 8 am & 9:30 am.

FOOD PANTRY

 

The Emergency Food Pantry assists families and individuals with a 3 day supply of bagged groceries, to each individual or family that is referred or in need. Located in the “The Potter’s House” 498 Madison Ave. It is open Mondays & Wednesdays from 10:00am to 12:00pm and for emergencies.

Madison Ave. Christian Child Care Center

 

The Madison Ave Christian Child Care Center provides Christ-centered, safe, quality care that promotes the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social and physical growth of children 2 1⁄2 to 5 years old. It is located in the Church basement, 494 Madison Ave. Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 5:30pm.

New City Kids After-School Center &
Summer Day Camp Partnership

 

Our joint mission serves youth from 1st through 8th grade, along with teen staff, to break the cycle of poverty by inviting them into a transformative Christian community where they grow and become agents of change through academic, leadership, musical and spiritual development.

Madison Ave Crossroads Crusaders

Our seniors meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 1pm-3pm at the Crossroads Ministry Center, 511 E. 22nd Street, 1st floor. This
group was formed to meet some of the needs of the senior citizens in our community.

Christian Cadet Club

Luke 2:52 states that “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” The goal of the Calvinist Cadet Corps, based upon that verse, is to help boys to grow spiritually in all areas of life (devotional, mental, physical, and social) by providing Christian men with a uniquely designed program, so they can mentor boys 8 years old to 14 years old effectively.

 

We meet every Tuesday night, 7:00pm at the Crossroads Ministry Center, 495 East 22nd Street, Paterson, NJ.

GEMS​

GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) is a Christian girls’ club, whose mission is to help bring girls into a living, dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ, through learning about Jesus Christ, what He has done for us and His plan for each of our lives. GEMS meets every other Tuesday evening 6:30pm at Crossroads Community Center, and one Saturday per month. Girls grades 1 through 6 are welcome.

River of God School of Paddling

The goal of River of God School of Paddling is to help young people & others:


•  Experience and get to know God through His creation
•  Develop an appreciation for creation and learn how to care for it
•  Learn life skills, values & teamwork through paddling and working together
•  Have a great time paddling local rivers, lakes & reservoirs Spring & Summer Paddling Experiences include:
•  Prayers and Scriptures to help all participating to read God’s Big Book of Creation
•  Basic canoe & kayak paddling training & safety skills
•  Weekly canoe/kayak paddles in local rivers, lakes and reservoirs


Kayak Kamp includes:


•  Daily Biblical teaching & prayer in the cathedral of Creation
•  Daily practice of caring for God’s creation
•  Basic canoe & kayak paddling training & safety skills
•  Daily canoe/ kayak paddles in local rivers, lakes and reservoirs with a final float trip down the Delaware
